It was on our way at noon on March 10....with 24 of our friends to head up to Sundance Lodge. Cam and I were a tad late, and with a few problems with gear, had a last position with the crowd. Andrea and Jen and a few others waited for us.....

Andrea kept us going, with the right directions...Only 16km's to go!!!!

Cam was starting to have blisters in his heals, which would only lead to a a tough time had by him.

There were lots of pretty nice scenes along the way. The temperature was so hot that the world was melting away. We even saw some tiny mud slides.

After 3.5 hrs of heading uphill with 85lbs bags on our backs, two big blisters on Cam's heals, when we saw the lodge....what a sight..

A map to tell us where we could go, where we have been, and where we will never go.

Mark, showing how the courgars do it...

Andrea and Karen posing for the camera in a room full of friends.

the Party chain massage. Always a fun time.

the dead dear on the walls

A couple of the gals getting cosy after a hard day of skiing.

All the skis of the household were ready to be put down for the night.

Even cold beer was ready when we got there...nothing says fun like someone else hauling your beer up on a skidoo.

Karen and Cam making the best of the warm cabin

Always a beer in hand, showing good cheer.

Can't have girls without the LULU LEMON attire...

Karen and Alain telling some stories around the old campfire.

Carrie, one of our hosts, and the gals getting cozy around the fire.

Karen in the bunks and the bear sheets....in the morning

Karen all geared up and ready to head back home in the morning..nothing like Pancakes, Backbacon, eggs and oatmeal to power up the system for another long ski.

After some medical transplants of the feet, Cam was ready to go home....

It wasn't until we got down to the lower elevations that the snow turned to drizzle...and things were warming up in time to open up the ice, and melt the snow...

Even the last bits of the trail could not hold up for us...some parts we had to walk....all concrete...but what a fast trail ride home. Got to love the downhills and snowplow....and big crashes.....until next year.
