COSTA RICA

COSTA RICA APRIL 2005

Cam and I headed to Costa Rica for our first trip together. We were going to celebrate my 30th Birthday down there....

The sunrise on my birthday in Cahuita, one of our favorite places on the entire trip.
I have always wanted to ride a horse on a beach...I finally got my dream come true. Even better in the Manuel Antonio National Reserve. We were the only ones on the beach that day. For miles

The Cordellera de Telemanca in the background and some full rivers taking water to the coast. There was some good rainfalls. Some of the most beautiful scenes. Plus a few caimans.

The sunsets and beaches of the Manuel Antonio. Seeing the tides going out and the beach surge.

Volcano Arenal....What a magnificant view and we took a closer look the next day. Really nice clean town. We rented our own little italian villa...in the heart of Costa Rica??

La Fuentas hot springs at the base of the Volcano Arenal.

A little kiss in our own private waterfall in Manuel Antonio

A few gardens ....and some strange monsters in those gardens

Not to forget the unforgettable first diving experience. We went up to El Coco, and went off the Pacific Coast and dived with the big fish. Including 5 white tipped sharks, and sting rays...nothing bad happed. It was wonderful. "Tortuga" turtle cove....is fabulous.

Not to mention the wonderful birthday hike along the coast full of beaches along Cahuita. The Carribean way of life, with the non bland food. It was wonderful to swim and see the animals. Those white faced monkeys. They tried to steel my stuff....

this was the cute little dog that was so tiny that we wanted to take it home in our pocket. Not to mention the nice "bling" it had around its neck. A local thing.

Our first zip line tour near Quepos was big for us...but it
was our upside down and backwards fun we had
in the trees. I rapelled down a 7 story tree of one of the really big trees in the jungle.

Lake Arenal-
The many high flying from the tops of the canopy and wizzing down from the tips of the mountains. We sailed from the largest and longest zip lines. Lake Arenal
